Informativa sulla privacy — Scrigno

Ultimo aggiornamento: 25/10/2026

Titolare del trattamento / sviluppatore: HDComputer — hd@hdcomputer.it]

1. In breve

L’accesso richiesto è limitato a drive.appdata.
  • Backup e condivisione.

  • Foto/galleria e file: scegliere immagini e allegati; salvare e condividere i file creati.
  • Microfono: audio dei video.
  • NFC: leggere e scrivere tag NFC delle etichette.
  • Notifiche: promemoria di manutenzioni, prestiti, garanzie e perizie.
  • Biometria / blocco schermo: proteggere l’accesso.

7. Password e recupero

9. I tuoi diritti

Privacy Policy — Scrigno

Last updated: 25/10/2026 Italian

1. In short

Scrigno is an inventory app for valuables. We do not collect, receive or sell your data. Your inventory stays on your device, encrypted. There are no ads, no tracking, no usage analytics and no account with us. Some optional features use external services, described below, and only if you turn them on or use them.

2. What data the app handles (on your device)

  • Item records: name, brand, model, serial number, materials, prices and values, locations, notes, links, insurance and appraisal data, warranty, loans, maintenance, digital product passport.
  • Photos, videos and attachments (certificates, invoices) you add.
  • The safe PIN, if you enter one.
  • App settings.

How it is protected. The database is encrypted (SQLite3 Multiple Ciphers). The safe PIN is encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The key is protected by your password (Argon2id derivation) and by the device Keychain (iPhone) or Keystore (Android). Access requires device verification (fingerprint, face or phone PIN) and the app password. Photos, videos and attachments are stored in the app’s private folder, protected by the operating system; they are not encrypted by the app itself.

3. Optional features that use external services

  • Online metal prices (off by default). If you turn it on, the app contacts the service you choose (gold-api.com, Swissquote or a custom address you configure), sending only the metal symbol (e.g. XAU). To convert currencies it may use the exchange rate service frankfurter.dev. These services see your IP address, like any website. No data about your items is sent.
  • Look up data online from a barcode. Only when you tap the button, the app sends the barcode number to upcitemdb.com to get name, brand and model. Nothing else is sent.
  • Google Drive sync (optional). If you turn it on, you sign in with your Google account and the app stores the data encrypted with your sync password in the app-private folder (appDataFolder) of your Google Drive. We cannot access that folder or your data; Google processes the files under its own policy. Scrigno’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The access requested is limited to drive.appdata.
  • Backup and sharing. Files you create (.vault backups, PDF, HTML, CSV, labels) are generated on your device and saved or shared wherever you choose (Files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, OneDrive, email, WhatsApp…). .vault backups are encrypted with the backup password; shared PDF, HTML and CSV files are not encrypted. From then on the rules of the service you choose apply.
  • In-app purchase. The “Scrigno Complete” unlock is handled by Apple or Google. We do not receive your payment details.
  • Notifications. Reminders are generated on the device and never contain item names.

4. Permissions requested

  • Camera: photos and videos of items, reading QR codes and barcodes, reading the serial number from a photo. Text recognition happens on the device.
  • Photos/gallery and files: choosing images and attachments; saving and sharing the files you create.
  • Microphone: audio of videos.
  • NFC: reading and writing NFC label tags.
  • Notifications: reminders for maintenance, loans, warranties and appraisals.
  • Biometrics / screen lock: protecting access.
  • Internet: only for the optional features in section 3.

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell or transfer data. The only exchanges are those in section 3, which happen with the services you choose to use.

6. Retention and deletion

Your data is on your device: deleting items or uninstalling the app erases it. Data synced to Google Drive is removed from Google Drive (Settings → Manage apps → Scrigno → Delete hidden app data) or by revoking access in your Google Account. Backups are removed by deleting the files where you saved them.

7. Password and recovery

If you forget the app password you can reset it with the 24 recovery words. If you lose both the password and the words, or the backup or sync password, we cannot recover your data, because we do not have it.

8. Children

The app is not directed to children under 14 and does not knowingly collect children’s data.

9. Your rights

Because we do not process your personal data on our servers, your GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) can be exercised directly in the app and on your device. For any request write to [CONTACT EMAIL]. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version. Important changes will be announced in the app or in the store listing.
